October 31st, 2027

Halloween is a spooktacular holiday where people of all ages dress up in creative costumes, carve eerie pumpkins, and indulge in deliciously creepy treats. This bewitching holiday has its origins in ancient Celtic traditions, with modern celebrations featuring haunted houses, trick-or-treating, and gatherings filled with ghostly tales and spine-tingling fun.

World Cities Day is observed on October 31 to promote global interest in urbanization and to encourage cooperation among countries in meeting the opportunities and addressing the challenges of urban growth. Designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013 and first observed in 2014, the day focuses on sustainable urban development, including housing, transport, public services, and resilience to climate change. Cities and local communities mark it with forums, exhibitions, and neighborhood events. With more than half of the world's population now living in urban areas, the day highlights how well-planned cities can be inclusive, safe, and sustainable places to live.
