November 14 of every year is World Diabetes Day, one of the important days in the health calendar, designed to draw attention to one of the most pressing and widespread medical problems of our time. The day aims to not only educate the public about diabetes, but also highlight the need for collective action to prevent, treat and manage this chronic disease. Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by the body's inability to properly manage blood sugar levels. It is divided into two main types: type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes most often develops in early childhood and requires constant insulin administration. Type 2 diabetes, on the other hand, is more often lifestyle-related and can be prevented and controlled through a healthy diet and physical activity.
