Alabama Day is a day when we celebrate the rich heritage of this southern state. With its historical sites, cultural diversity and hospitality, Alabama welcomes everyone with open arms. This day is a pride and celebration of what makes Alabama a unique and beautiful part of our country.

The historical significance of Hanukkah stems from the victory of Jewish rebels called the Maccabees over Syrian invaders and the restoration of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. This event is also associated with a miracle when a small amount of oil intended to consecrate the menorah (seven armies) burned for eight days instead of one, which made it possible to prepare new oil. Hanukkah is a time of joy, fellowship, and remembrance of important events in the history of the Jewish people. This holiday celebrates the spiritual heritage that is passed down from generation to generation and calls for light, hope and solidarity in dark times.
